Thermage CPT is a noninvasive and non-ablative radiofrequency (RF) generating device that delivers continuous unipolar heat energy to the skin. The heat energy travels into the skin to stimulate the restoration and regeneration of collagen fibres so that the skin becomes tighter, smoother, and beautifully contoured. This Class II and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved device is unlike other skin tightening methods, as it is integrated with patented Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT), which functions similarly to Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) therapy. Thermage and TENS therapy both use heat energy interspersed with intermittent bursts of cryogen in order to disrupt the activity of sensory nerves and the normal neural pathway, resulting in subdued pain and discomfort. The cryogen also has an additional function: it protects the skin from any injuries caused by heat energy. Thermage 3.0cm² Total Tip is one of the many Treatment Tips available for the Thermage system. This tip is specifically designed to double the maximum volume of bulk heating so as safely correct the face, neck, and body from signs of premature ageing such as sagginess, inelasticity, cellulite, and wrinkles. This membrane tip contains a computer chip that is pre-programmed to ensure that the tip only delivers 900 or 1200 pulses of heat energy, depending on the Treatment Tip used, after which said tip must be discarded. The Thermage system, including Thermage CPT, is designed by Solta Medical, an America company that manufactures energy-based medical devices.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Buy THERMAGE® 3.0CM² online TOTAL TIP generates non-ablative and noninvasive continuous unipolar heat energy. This collagen-stimulating energy is then distributed to the skin via Treatment Tips. Thermage 3.0cm² Total Tip is one of the many Treatment Tips available. It is specifically designed to deliver double the maximum volumetric bulk heating to correct certain signs of ageing on the face, neck, and body. Following a treatment session with Thermage CPT and Thermage 3.0cm² Total Tip, the skin appears smooth, radiant, and youthful.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Patients develop many skin imperfections, including inelasticity, wrinkles, and cellulite, due to ageing. This biological process slows the repair and regeneration of dermal cells, such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin. The intrinsic ageing process is often exacerbated by extrinsic ageing factors, such as smoking, pollution, an unhealthy diet, and chronic ultraviolet (UV) exposure. These factors contribute free radicals that further damage the skin. Thermage CPT, like other Thermage devices, can be used to rejuvenate wrinkly and aged skin. This FDA-certified Class II device generates continuous unipolar radiofrequency (RF) heat energy and delivers it via Thermage 3.0cm² Total Tip to the face, neck, and body with double the maximum volumetric bulk heating. The heat energy stimulates the repair and regrowth of collagen fibres, resulting in tighter and youthful-looking skin. The integration of CPT allows the membrane tip to also intermittently release bursts of a cooling effect to soothe the skin and reduce pain.
HOW TO USE IT
Only appropriately licensed and trained medical practitioners should handle a Thermage device. Patients who are interested in undergoing treatment with Thermage must be thoroughly examined to ensure that they are healthy and free from any contraindicating conditions. The procedure is commenced by placing a Skin Marking Grid Paper on cleansed and disinfected regions. This temporary grid paper helps guide physicians when they perform a Thermage procedure. Afterwards, physicians should apply a layer of Coupling Fluid, which increases electrical conductivity and reduces friction between the membrane tip and the skin. Physicians must also attach a Return Pad on the abdomen or back so that the RF current can travel back to the device. After attaching Thermage 3.0cm² Total Tip onto the Handpiece of Thermage CPT, the face, neck, and body can be treated.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Each Thermage treatment session can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to complete, depending on the type of membrane tip chosen, the severity of the skin condition, and the surface area that requires correction. Patients should be able to notice improvements to their skin almost instantly after the procedure. However, the full effects of Thermage treatment are only visible a few months after the procedure, as the skin requires adequate time to heal and generate collagen fibres. These aesthetic effects should then last for at least 2 years before the existing skin problems reemerge due to biological ageing. This exact duration of action varies on an individual basis.
